The thesis deals with the specifics of integration and education of foreigners studying at universities in the Czech Republic. Nowadays, studying abroad is very affordable and therefore many students go to different countries and a significant percentage of them go to the Czech Republic. It is therefore essential that they feel comfortable here and that their studies have as few obstacles as possible. Therefore, the aim of this paper is to describe the access of foreigners to education in the Czech Republic, to find out how the adaptation process of foreigners to a new environment can be influenced, and to describe the integration and educational barriers of foreigners actively studying at universities in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical part of the thesis a description of the integration process, the legal framework for higher education in the Czech Republic, intercultural differences in education is realized. Furthermore, attention is paid to the integration policy and educational services provided in the Czech Republic. The empirical part of the thesis is carried out through semi-structured interviews with foreigners who are actively studying at Czech universities. Swedish integration policy and refugee integration

The topic of Swedish integration policy and integration of refugees deals with the current Swedish integration policy with a focus on refugees (asylum seekers). The thesis puts integration policies into the context of the refugee crisis 2015, which was an unprecedented period for Sweden due to the record number of asylum seekers. The thesis also analyses the development of Swedish integration policy in the time frame from the late 1990s to the refugee crisis 2015. Another aim of the thesis is to find out if there were changes in Sweden's integration policies as a result of the refugee crisis. The thesis also partially includes an analysis of asylum policies that are linked to integration policies. The fundamental question is what integration methods Sweden has chosen in the case of refugees and how they have been implemented.
Integration Policies of Ireland Between 2007-2020

The thesis deals with Irish integration policies in the period 2007-2020. In 2007, the first key office for integration was established, the Office of the Minister for Integration (OMI), which was the predecessor of today's Office for the Promotion of Migrant Integration (OPMI). This office was key to the creation of the Migration Nation Strategy, which was issued by the Office in 2008. This is why this whole period of integration policies has been framed by the only two Irish integration strategies issued so far. The Migration Nation Strategy and The Migrant Integration Strategy-Blueprint for the Future, already mentioned, published in 2017. In the 1990s, thanks mainly to economic prosperity, Ireland experienced a turnaround from a predominantly emigrating state to an immigration state. Thanks to the ever increasing number of asylum seekers and the number of immigrants in the country, Ireland had to start to develop, deepen and streamline integration policies. The integration of immigrants in the Czech Republic: with and without the help of the non-governmental organizations - the comparative study

This bachelor thesis concentrates on problematics of immigrants integration in the Czech Republic. The main aim of this work is, to find out what the kind of influence non- profit organisations, in this case the Counselling Centre for Integration, has for the process of integration of immigrants itself. The set target is being verified on the basis of comparison of integration level of clients of Counselling Centre for Integration and Globus ČR, k. s. employees. This work is divided into five basic chapters. The introductory chapter presents the topic, aims and the structure of the work itself. Second chapter is devoted to an evaluation of sources and literature used in this work. The theoretical part defines notions which are directly related with the problematics given, describes the process of integration of immigrants in the Czech Republic, deals with the integration politics and non-profit organisations in the Czech Republic. Empirical investigation contains some important data about Counselling Centre for Integration and an evaluation of information gained due to questionnaires, participant observations and non-structured informal discussions. The Role of Integration Centers in the Frame of Integration Policy of the Czech Republic

The main aim of this bachelor thesis The Role of Integration Centers in the frame of integration policy of the Czech Republic is to describe and compare the position of integration centers operating in the Czech Republic. The thesis examines and compares the activities of integration centers working as non-profit organizations with the Centers for Support of Integration of Foreigners which are established by the state. It describes an integration policy in the Czech Republic, which aims to prevent the creation of closed communities of immigrants, a social isolation and a social exclusion of foreigners. The research was made as a multiple case study. The main target of this research was to find out how the integration centers contribute from the perspective of their employees to the process of integration of foreigners in the Czech Republic, mainly through the services provided and their promotion. The research found out essential problems of the Czech Republic's integration policy for foreigners from third countries. Spanish Government's Response to Immigration and Integration Policies During the Economic Crisis of 2008-2014

This bachelor thesis deals with the impact of the economic crisis on immigration policy in Spain in the years 2008-2015. The research focuses mainly in the reactions of Spanish fovernments in the filed of immigration and integration policy in response to the economic crisis of 2008-2014. The economic crisis marked the biggest downturn for both the global and Spanish economies since the crisis of the 1930's. The aim of the thesis is to prove that the economic crisis meant a change in the orientation of immigration and integration policy in Spain by analyzing the approach of individual Spanish governments in this period. The first two parts of the thesis are devoted to defining the basic concepts related to migration and the historical context of Spanish development in the field of migration. Furthermore, the work describes the development of the economic crisis in the world and in Spain and examines how foreigners located on Spanish territory were affected. The main part of the work is an analysis of the approach of government political parties of the People's Party and Socialists to immigration and integration during the economic crisis with regard to the adoption of measures and legislative changes.
Integration of Immigrants in Austria after 1990 on the Example of the Capital City of Vienna

The diploma thesis integration of Immigrants in Austria after 1990 on the Example of the Capital City of Vienna" deals with the Austrian integration policy towards immigrants. In the first part, integration, integration policy and the target group of integration are defined. Trends in the policy on the level of the central government since 1990s are described in the following section. The main part of the thesis deals with the integration policy in Vienna, analyzing the activities of the two key institutions of the municipal policy (Vienna Integration Fund and the Municipal Department 17) and summarizing the political discussion on key problems of the Vienesse integration policy (like citizenship, political participation, segregation or education policy) to answer the question, how active is the governing party in Vienna - SPÖ - in this area field and what are the limits of this policy.

The bachelors thesis Impact of the "Civic Integration Abroad" Act on Dutch Immigration is dedicated to the Netherlands and its integration laws. The Netherlands has gone through a big change since the year 1998 and it has completely revised its approach to immigration and integration of incomers. It has stopped adhering to the multicultural approach and has gone in an entirely new direction, which supports a civic integration. This work is particularly focused on the law of Civic Integration Abroad, which was introduced in 2006 as a new measure for the integration of immigrants. The main essence of the law is to meet certain conditions and a successful passing of an integration test before arrival to the Netherlands. This law was the first of its kind in Europe and it was intended to restrict the immigration of certain groups of newcomers. For this reason, as an integration law, it also intervenes in Dutch immigration. The first part of the work is dedicated to the immigration to the Netherlands, to Dutch approach to immigrants and to the development of new integration policies until year 2006.
